Privacy Policy

Effective: July 24, 2026

FENNOK, LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates FenSight and the website fennok.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. Data We Collect

Purchase & license email

When you buy a license, Stripe collects your email and payment details. We receive your email address to generate and deliver your license key. We do not store your payment card information.

License activation and verification

When you activate or release FenSight after checkout, our licensing system receives your checkout email, Stripe session ID, and the request code generated by the app for that Windows account and machine. We record activation state so we can enforce seat limits, support license recovery and transfers, and process refunds. FenSight may also periodically send the activated request code to verify license status for completed refunds, payment disputes, or customer-requested device releases. Your boards, media files, thumbnails, tags, and filenames are not sent to us for license activation, deactivation, or verification.

When you begin activation from the FenSight app, the activation page may keep the checkout email and request code in that browser's local storage for up to 30 minutes so the purchase-specific link opened from email can restore the form. Activation and device-release purchase sessions are retained only in that tab's session storage so refreshing does not interrupt the secure flow, and the session ID is removed from the visible URL after loading. These temporary browser records are cleared after completion; the request code is not included in the recovery-link request.

Contact form

If you contact us via the website, we collect your name, email, and message content. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

In-app feedback

If you use "Send Feedback" inside the FenSight app, we receive your name, email, message, app version, OS, GPU model, and a redacted summary of recent actions (action type and item counts only — never filenames, file paths, board names, text, or comments).

Beta Pro signup

If you request Beta Pro access, we collect your email address, an optional description of your use case, your privacy acceptance time, and the request code generated for your Windows account and machine. We store a SHA-256 hash and the last four characters of that request code, not the full code. We use this information to review the request, issue or revoke Beta Pro access, prevent abuse, and handle verified deletion requests.

Optional Beta Pro reliability diagnostics

Only while a Beta Pro license is active, FenSight asks separately whether you want to share reliability diagnostics. Nothing is uploaded unless you affirmatively allow it. If allowed, FenSight sends a random installation ID; app, Windows, and .NET versions; coarse memory, GPU, and display configuration; whether a session used network, mapped-network, or removable storage; session duration and clean, managed-crash, or unclean outcome; and allowlisted managed-crash details consisting of exception type, numeric error code, inner exception types, and assembly/type/method frame names.

The diagnostic credential is associated administratively with your Beta Pro signup so we can authorize, revoke, and delete the data, but diagnostic event bodies do not contain your name, email, request code, or license key. We therefore describe this data as pseudonymous, not anonymous. Native crash dumps, memory dumps, arbitrary exception messages, raw stack traces, filenames, and paths are not collected.

Update checks

If "Check for updates on launch" is enabled, FenSight makes one request on launch for the current release manifest. You can turn this off in Settings. This request does not include board or media data.

Website analytics

We may collect website page-view and event data (for example, via Vercel Analytics and pricing/checkout button events) to understand traffic patterns and improve the site. This is separate from the FenSight desktop app, which does not collect usage telemetry by default.

2. What We Do Not Collect

  • Your image files, boards, or any media you work with in FenSight — these never leave your device.
  • AI provider API keys you configure in FenSight — stored locally only, never transmitted to us.
  • Desktop advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking, or general behavioral analytics.
  • Reliability diagnostics from Free, Trial, Lifetime, Annual, or Studio installations. The optional diagnostic program is limited to active Beta Pro licenses with current consent.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To deliver your license key by email after purchase.
  • To validate license activations and enforce seat limits.
  • To respond to support and contact requests.
  • To operate the Beta Pro program and, only with separate consent, improve reliability using pseudonymous diagnostics.
  • To send transactional emails related to your purchase (receipt, license resend). We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.

4. Third-Party Services

Stripe — processes all payments. Stripe's privacy policy governs data collected during checkout. We do not store card numbers.
Turso/libSQL — hosts our licensing and Beta Pro databases. Purchase and activation records, hashed Beta request codes, diagnostic credential hashes, consented Beta diagnostic events and profiles, and rate-limit records are stored here.
Vercel — hosts this website. Vercel may log IP addresses for security and infrastructure purposes per their privacy policy.
Cloudflare R2 — hosts installer downloads. Download requests may be logged by Cloudflare.

5. Data Retention

Raw Beta Pro diagnostic events and environment profiles are retained for no more than 90 days. Turning diagnostics off immediately stops new reports and deletes unsent reports waiting on that PC. Selecting the FenSight uninstaller's settings/app-data cleanup also deletes the local diagnostic identity and unsent queue. Neither action retroactively deletes reports already received; those remain until their scheduled deletion or a verified earlier deletion request.

Beta signup records are retained through the Beta period and deleted no later than 90 days after the Beta ends, unless a temporary support hold is needed to resolve an active request. Support holds are removed when that request is resolved.

Purchase records and license activation data are retained for as long as your license is active, and for a reasonable period thereafter for support, refund, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal purposes. Contact us at info@fennok.com to request deletion of your data.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@fennok.com.

For a Beta Pro deletion request, we verify the signup email and installed request code before deleting the signup, credential, rate-limit record, diagnostic events, and environment profiles associated with that Beta installation.

We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time but only to improve your privacy, never to erode it. The effective date at the top of the page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of FenSight after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
